In a Playful Mood...

The past few days have been a bit hectic, but I did take time to create a new necklace.  I was feeling a bit colorful so settled on a great mixture of bright beads with a base of sterling and turquoise with a splash of coral to set it off.  Being a bit playful, I strung this one backward, beginning with the centerpiece, working up the main necklace, attaching the fastener and then working down the outside with turquoise, finishing off with the two outside dangles.  Hope you all like it.

Today is a beautiful, sunny blue sky day here in the Pacific Northwest.  Spring must be around the corner.  The birds are returning and trees are taking on a bit of color as they begin to bud out.  Don't you just love this time of year?

  1. I love your necklace - very pretty.
Also love your upbeat blog which suggests that things are beginning to think of Spring - I do hope you are right as it is bitterly cold here.

  2. Fabulous necklace design! I like the two orange cubicle beads that enliven the turquoise and the other colors in it.

  3. Love the necklace, Coni. The two-strand look is appealing and very popular in this cool new approach.

Hop on over to my jewelry blog if you want to see what I have been up to. While your necklace is very pretty, I have gone the opposite direction lately and created some very industrial-looking pieces that I think are very cool. Every once in awhile I have to make something dainty, feminine and pretty and then BOOM! I have to drag out the sheets of copper and heavy artillery! Tom's afraid I will burn down the house.

  4. You are all so kind! Creativity is such a challenge sometimes...it requires input from others in order to be validated. Thank you, Weaver, Duta and Susan for being my validators! Hope you are each having a wonderful day today.
