Sadness...

Sadness envelopes me this morning after learning that one of my dearest friends has passed.  Lee 'Teen' McGowan was perhaps the most interesting individual I have ever had the opportunity to meet and I count myself fortunate for having known and painted with her.  She was an artist whose life is the things great books are made of.  She was proud and fierce while being kind and gentle to those she loved.  My sympathies go out to her family.  I will be watching the skies because I know that now they will be more colorful (you just know she won't be happy with their normal palette)...May She Rest in Peace.  I, for one, loved her dearly and will miss her for the rest of my life.  She taught me so much.

  1. Sorry about the loss of your friend. She's probably watching you from above , feeling very pleased with the fine words you've dedicated to her in your post.

  2. Thanks you, Duta. Teen was a wonderful artist who suffered with rheumatoid arthritis in her later years but still kept on painting. She was a good friend and teacher and I will always miss her.
