Happy New Year!

Today is the first day...

May all your hearts be filled with happiness and your worries slip away.

I spent the last day of 2009 working on my gull painting. Here is the final on it. I am more pleased with the sun area now. Happy to hear what you all think.

We had a quiet New Years which we prefer. At midnight we observed some neighborhood fireworks and then went peacefully to sleep in the year 2010. Today found our snow melted off by rain and the sun shining bright in a blue sky. We are heading up the mountain to snow shoe.

It's a good start: "the sun shining bright in a blue sky". May the New Year be bright and warming your heart with its goodies: Health, Prosperity, Joy.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
